On a rainy day you can see forever…if you have a clear umbrella like Lillie that is. (That was supposed to be a play on the Barbra Streisand movie title…might have been a little far fetched. So I’ll never be a copywriter.) Okay, how cute is Lillie in this sweet commission? She sent me a ton of pictures and gave me free rein to choose. I saw the one of her sporting her transparent umbrella in NYC and knew I wanted to sketch it. I tried to hint at the summer rain on the pavement a little bit.
